It's the time of the year when things get spooky! I previously reviewed vampire-themed western porn film Juicy Silver, but that was a disaster. Here's hoping this zombie-themed JAV is a lot better.
START-073 is a 2024 video from studio SOD Create and director Tiger Kosakai, celebrating MINMAO's third anniversary in AV.
The video starts off with shots of the Shibuya scramble crossing at night. A schoolgirl hobbles across the road. Clearly something is not quite right with her. Although one side of her face is normal, the other side of her face is pale and vein-y. Somehow, MINMAO has been turned into a half-zombie. We then get an over-the-top retro tokusatsu style opening to put us in the mood. The explosions are reminiscent of RED-001, from the same director.
We get stuck into the film proper, with a shot of MINMAO and another girl – played by Yuzu (ゆず), I assume – being driven handcuffed in the back of a van. They are taken to a lab where mad scientist Shijimi and her assistant – I think played by Chamu (ちゃむ) a.k.a. Econo Mii (えこの みぃ) – inject them with some suspicious substance.
As you might deduce, both girls are transformed into zombies, although in MINMAO's case, curiously only one half of her body is zombified. As she is driven away from the lab, we are presented with an explanatory flashback. Turns out her mother Akakura Saki (赤倉さき) had got in trouble with some shady types. To placate them, she offered up her own daughter. There's a somewhat disturbing scene in which an emotionless MINMAO is fucked by one such crook played by Charas Yoshimura Fumitaka.
Back to the present, and the driver of the truck – played by Satō (佐藤), perhaps – decides to stick his dick inside and fuck Zombie MINMAO's mouth. Bad idea, for she bites it clean off! It's all fake, of course, though the fake blood seems to get into MINMAO's eyes. Poor thing…
MINMAO then goes wandering the streets until Sugiura Bokkiy noticed her outside his house, and he invites her in. He cleans the blood off her face and dresses her up like a doll. Then he fucks her. She repays him for his kindness by seeming to bite off his tongue when he tries to snog her.
It's back to the streets for MINMAO (due to a continuity goof, she is back wearing her completely clean schoolgirl outfit!) until she is invited to the home of a young gent, Himori Hajime. He pours her a drink and then fucks her. He cums on her body, dips his dick in her mouth, and they all lived happily ever after. The end. I guess his good looks meant she decided to spare his penis. This time, at least.
After the main feature is a brief blooper reel (mostly with MINMAO struggling to keep her composure) and a 16 minute interview with the star.
MINAMO ZOMBIE (okay, I'll spell her name correctly this time) is one of those videos that goes beyond what one would expect from an AV. MINAMO herself is a terrific performer who is really convincing as a zombie. The make-up and special effects are on point. It's not really intended to be erotic, but it's a hugely enjoyable watch regardless. And remember: don't fuck with zombies!
