When, last year, I heard that Nagisa Koiki was a former Takarazuka Revue performer, I was initially sceptical. After all, JAV is an industry built upon lies, and it's not uncommon for a performer to come with a completely made up background. I did a bit of research but couldn't find any evidence to verify the rumour. So I just shrugged it off and left it at that.
The Takarazuka Revue is one of Japan's most revered acting troupes. Founded in 1913 as a division of the Hankyū Railway (it being intended as a sort of tourist attraction which people could use said railway to travel to), the all-female group put on lavish musical productions that have delighted audiences for over 100 years. Fans have included Astro Boy creator Tezuka Osamu, who was inspired by the troupe to create Princess Knight. If you ever get a chance to watch one of their productions, I'd highly recommend it!
Anyway, this wouldn't have been the first time the worlds of Takarazuka and AV collided. Back in 2010, Mizuse Chiaki (水瀬千秋) starred in MEX-005 as a one-off.
Before becoming a fully fledged member of the Revue, candidates must train for two years at the gruelling Takarazuka Music School (TMS). In 2014, STAR-498 was due to be released, purportedly starring a TMS alumnus by the name Takatsuka Rena (高塚れな). The release of the video, however, was ultimately cancelled for reasons that are still unclear. Rena would ultimately make her AV debut in 2016 under the name Akiba Akane.
All that's to say, I wouldn't have been surprised if Koiki were an actual Takarazuka performer. But I needed more than just rumours to believe it. That's why, when I was asked to review a video of hers for a Review Lotto about former celebrities, I wasn't sure that it counted.
However, I decided to do some more research, and it transpires that Koiki bears the likeness of a certain Ōzuki Noa (桜月のあ). It does appear that the rumours were correct! Anyway, I should get on with actually reviewing the video…
START-029, directed by Mondo, was released half a year after Koiki's debut video. It's a very straightforward soapland video in which she spends two hours in the same room, servicing the "frogman" himself, Yoshimura Taku.
Despite the video's simplicity, it does have an elegant feel to it. Koiki looks immaculate with her glamorous dress and jewellery. But it's not long before Taku gets up to his usual antics, licking her back. Koiki is very smiley and giggly throughout the video.
Of course, you have the usual sex scenes on a sofa and on a bed, with Taku cumming on Koiki's bum and then licking up his own spunk. That's Taku for you. Of course, it wouldn't be a soapland video if Koiki didn't then give Taku a wash. It's her turn to use her tongue to lick Taku's nipples and arse. They take a bath together (and fuck some more) before Koiki gives Taku a massage, and they snuggle together on the bed.
They keep getting on the bed, off the bed, on the bed, off the bed, on the bed… Well, there's one obligatory lotion scene before they have one final sex scene on the bed. The video concludes with Taku releasing his sperm all over Koiki's face, and then licking it up. Yummy!
All in all, this video may not be particularly special, but Koiki is a good performer (and, honestly, I'd expect no less from a former Takarazuka Revue member) and this is a high quality production.
