Western review: Space Junk (2023, Digital Playground)

Space Junk poster

Space Junk is a 2023 film from studio Digital Playground and director Dick Bush. Set on board an intergalactic rubbish truck, it stars Xander Corvus and Tru Kait as refuse workers Dex and Kami, respectively.

Dex and Kami converse

We're also introduced to outlaw Jaz (Ella Hughes) who is being pursued by space cop Hudson (Danny D), who end up on board the ship. However, they all end up in a spot of bother and end up needing to deal with various ne'er-do-wells.

Hudson arrests Jaz

When it comes to sci-fi themed porn, nobody does it better than Dick Bush, and it does have a rather entertaining story that has hints of Red Dwarf. A lot of effort was clearly put into the wardrobe and set design – they certainly look the part. The one thing that looks cheap are the CGI exterior shots of the spacecraft that really don't look convincing.

A naked Trix dances

Space Junk has some incredible performances, in particular that of Ella Hughes, whose acting is very convincing. Tru Kait's curvy body offers some wonderful sights. Geishakyd as pleasure hologram Trix is very entertaining, and Jasmine Jae is just perfect as the pirate Crash.

Crash with a commanding appearance

All in all, a captivating space adventure with a stellar cast of intriguing characters.
