This is a review of a video I watched as part of the Soapy JAV Challenge, in which one must watch 20 JAVs between 15th September and 15th October. This is video 18 of 20.
EBOD-326 is a 2013 video from studio E-BODY, directed by Kaoru and produced by Grasuno Kokoro. In this video, Hamasaki Mao cosplays as a variety of characters: Ayanami Rei from Evangelion, Nami from One Piece, Sailor Mars from Sailor Moon, Morrigan from Darkstalkers and Cutie Honey from, well, Cutie Honey. Despite the description mentioning six situations, there are only five costumes featured in this video.
For Ayanami (calling her by her surname since she technically cosplays as two characters named Rei, y'see?), she wears a plugsuit that looks cheap but does a decent job of showing off her curves. The rest of the costumes are similarly cheap-looking but are almost unrecognisable (the Cutie Honey one in particular).
Her Nami cosplay, for instance is just a bikini top and shorts. Oh, and an ordinary wristwatch in place of her Log Pose compass. If it weren't for the tattoo, I likely wouldn't have recognised the character. By the way, each scene starts with a posing/gravure segment, and the Nami one has "Free Like Me (feat. Dee Teague)" by HandinHand as background music.
The costumes may be of questionable quality, but that may be explained by Mao having sex whilst wearing them, which I know is quite controversial. Personally, I love this kind of sex scene where they keep the costume on. So if you're like me, you'll be relieved that, unlike some other videos, the costume doesn't just come off, thereby defeating the purpose of a cosplay video.
The sex scenes themselves are sensual with lots of kissing. Mao's performance is enthralling; she really gets into her scenes. A couple of the scenes feature wet-and-messy (WAM) elements: the Nami scene takes place in a bathroom and they make out under the shower; the Morrigan scene meanwhile has Mao covered in slime.
I originally watched this video soon after its release, and it was actually the first video starring Mao I ever watched. Mao really left an impression and she rightly became one of JAV's biggest stars. If you're looking for an early Mao video and don't mind cosplay videos where the costumes don't come off, I recommend this one.
