I don't have particularly fond memories of camping. In all honesty, I only went camping once, on a school trip, but it was a traumatising enough experience to put me off trying again.
That said, in recent years, the anime Yuru Camp (and its JAV parody I previously reviewed, Ero Camp) have got me more interested in camping. Although I still don't really want to go camping again myself, I do now appreciate the appeal of it.
DLDSS-300, from Faleno off-shoot Dahlia and director U-kichi is a 2024 camping themed video starring Mino Suzume. The story goes that Suzume is engaged and about to get married. However, she has secretly still been dating her ex (Uemura Keidai, a.k.a. Ueda Masahiro). With the wedding approaching, she decides to have one final date with her ex. And what better way to do that than book-end their relationship by going camping, which was also their first date.
The pair arrive at the campsite in a van, which is packed with camping gear. There's a montage of Suzume setting up the tent, preparing the fire, doing the cooking and brewing coffee. No wonder she's leaving Keidai (who wears a Joyride snowboard jacket); he seems to do practically nothing to help!
It isn't long before they decide to get into their tent and have some fun. There are two sex scenes in the tent, which is fairly standard affair, though in the first they open the tent flap briefly, letting the whole world see what's going on (although I fully expect the video to have been filmed on private property, and there's no sign of any other people at the campsite). There is also a blowjob scene behind the van, and a sex scene at a hot spring they visit.
The best parts of the video are the cooking scenes. Indeed, there is one about halfway through the video where they really go to town with the cinematography, with slow motion shots that make me so hungry. Sadly, these scenes are all too brief. There are also few shots of Suzume eating the food she's lovingly prepared. I only noticed her take two bites throughout the entire video – small bites at that! Meanwhile there are some rather lengthy shots of Keidai eating noodles. What's a camping video without gratuitous shots of the actress eating?!
On the whole, this is a reasonably well produced video. However, I would have appreciated some more food related content, and I was annoyed by the inconsistency of the colour balance and the sound of wind blowing into the microphone. If you want to watch a camping video, check out Ero Camp instead.
